Black and white film posters.

I have been researching further film posters which use black and white as their main colours, I have been doing this as I believe using mainly black and white will create a better effect for my film poster. I think that it will make my poster look more mysterious and it will fulfil its purpose as a film poster to entice the audience into seeing the film.

I really like the colours of this poster, I think the red really stands out and the most important parts of the poster are in red, meaning this will catch the reader's eye. I think red will work well on my poster as it has connotations of blood and danger. I also like how simple the poster is, it includes only the relevant information. The main things the reader wants to know is, who stars in the film and the films title. These two things are clearly accessible and in red so that the reader will look at them first.

I think the way the red runs through the characters face is a great way of making the audience know that charcater is in danger. Also, the red connects the two characters perhaps suggesting danger connects the two, or that the bottom character controls the danger. The victim of my trailer is not appearing in the film poster, however I think the red is a good way of representing the victim. I want my font to stand out like it does on this poster, which is why i want a black background.
